EGREPA Conference 2021

The EGREPA Conference 2021 “Active aging - new challenges and new opportunities” (19th-21st of May 2021) was jointly organized by EGREPA, the University of Münster (Germany), the University of Physical Education in Krakow (Poland), and the European Advisors’ Association PLinEU (Poland).

The conference was originally planned to be held “on-site” in Krakow, Poland. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was finally conducted “online”, hosted by the University of Münster, Germany.

The keynote lectures were held by Prof. Dr. Taina Rantanen (Gerontology Research Center & Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, University of Jyväskylä, Finland) and Prof. Dr. Eling de Bruin (Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden & ETH Zurich, Switzerland).

A variety of the newest research findings in the field of “aging and physical activity” was presented within six invited symposia, four oral presentation sessions, and two poster sessions. The scientific program was complemented by insights into the translational Erasmus+ project „Actimentia – Physical activity and exercising benefits in dementia care“.

The conference was co-funded by the European Commission.
